Slagged off for BNP coverage

You may want to see this.

As some of you may know I have always been a pretty serious anti-rascist/anti-fascist (I was the only member of Schoolkids Against The Nazis in Tamworth accoring to their records!) and my interest in the Holocaust has even taken me to Auschwitz and the Yad Vashem Memorial in Jerusalem. Hence I am pretty militant about this and anti-racism and anti-Semitism is probably my most sacred political belief.

So, you can imagine how vexed I am to have been accused of being soft on the BNP after a story we did on them in our patch where three memebrs of the same party were standing for the vile swine.

I was doing my 'fair, balanced' bit but I have been slaughtered on a local blog for doing so - and I couldn't help get involved. Have a read if you get a mo and you can see what an amazingly opininated area this is (which I love actually) ...

PS I obviosusly couldn't reveal too much of my own feelings as this is 'unprofessional' but to be accused of being sympathetic to the BNP is like calling me a child molester, a mass murdrerer or (worse) a Phil Collins fan. It makes me seeeeeeeeeeeethe.
