Refugees from MSN's Groups function, these Tamworth kids continue their ancient arguments over post punk rock vs 1970s nu-modernism, settle their grievances with astonished women, recommend records, books and films to each other, and swop private jokes, fuzzily remembered.
Funny,
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about Thee Death of Grass last week. I was telling George about it, telling him he would like it. Didn't know it was being serialized on R4.Of course anything you tell your 12 year old he would like is sure-fire way of him never reading it. I've often wondered about GW over the years, what was his home life like, that sort of thing, also same about Westlake. I remember him showing us his collection of (pretty good) slide photos of Gothic cathedrals around Europe, and I was really impressed. He was usually just so weird, and this one lesson he really came alive. I've often wondered about him. By the way, Mol and Papa, were they really "bummers"?
