Coogan

Just watched series 2 of Saxondale, which wasn't always funny (not always trying to be) but instead was another multifaceted fantastic character study from the great Steve Coogan. Anyone see him play Larry David's therapist in Curb Your Enthusiasm last year? Man that was hysterical!

    Haven't seen series two, but I liked the first series a lot. As you say, not laugh out loud funny, but brilliantly played by Coogan. I remember not liking any of his immediately post 'Knowing Me Knowing You' stuff much, but mainly because I didn't think it was as funny - perhaps it's worth revisiting...

    I love Saxondale, its' brilliant study of being a middle-aged man. I'd never have got it 5 years ago. I understand, him totally. Brilliant. Watvhed the Wire last night for first time. Hooked, I can't wait for tonight.
