I could not be happier.
I feel as excited and optimistic as I did in May 1997 when Blair was elected but in some ways this is even more significant.
My respect for America/Americans has gone through the roof.

Yeah, you're right Sam - sure feels like a new dawn this morning. Whatever happens over the next four years, this shows that people everywhere are looking for intelligence and commitment from their leaders. Lets hope we'll see some innovation in international politics now. Actually, we forget now that Britain definitely felt like a better place during Blair's first term, before illegal wars and control mania sold out the whole project. Don't want to end on a negative note, though - god bless America!
